Default had letter checked out

i had the letter checked out by someone who works in a solicitors today and they told me that both the company and the letter were legit, she said that there have been more that 6 thousend letters sent out to people, some of which have payed the fine, apparently it made watchdog!!!

i am going to get a solicitor to draught a letter to send back to them for me as i know i havent done anything wrong, also i found that the date that they say i did it was 3 months before the release date in the uk, (if this was the case how could i have even known that the album existed), has anyone else noticed this?

Indeed, we did make it to the BBC which is good.
However on there it states that 20-30 had been wrongly accused - a number which is totally unrepresentative of the actual number of people that were wrongly accused. Better than nothing I suppose.

Thats only the ones who contacted the BBC, there are a LOT more of us who are innocent than that!!

Hi guys, havent had much chance to get on recently.

I have now received a total of 3 reply letters from ACS Law. Each letter is a carbon copy of the last, stating that they are not saying that I have made the content available but my connection was used to do so. It then contradicts itself by saying that they have evidence that my COMPUTER was used to make the content available for download on a p2p network. Then as always, it concludes with the usual "If you do not pay within 14 days we will have no choice but to start proceedings against you" blah blah blah.

I received my first letter on 7th May, 2 months later, I still havent been taken to court, why do you think that is, lol?????

I have stated in every letter that I, nor anyone else in the household has made the TWO WORLDS DOPEMAN files available nor do we use p2p software. I have offered them my computer/Hard Drive to send to their "IT EXPERTS" but have had no response to that. I also have proof that the computer was undergoing repairs during the dates stated on my original infringement letter. Still no response to that. I also have a wireless internet connection, that untill recently, was unprotected and that it would have been active during that time as I used it for Xbox Live. All I get is "unless you can explain how this has happend......". Thought that not having a computer in the house at the time was a pretty god explanation dont you, lol.

I'm not worried one bit about these leeches. Worst comes to worse they can take me to court and if by some miracle they do win, they can have £1 a month off me till its paid, lol

I know Hickster. Anyway, I haven't received any sort of reply from ACS:LAW yet which is sort of weird because most of you have.
Nevermind and don't worry (guy above). I doubt that they'll take you to court. I suppose it will end up like the DL case where some of the publishers just gave up.
By the way, did you hear about what the piratebay are going to do? Very odd.

You had THREE Letters? I have had two so far. Did you use the templates at "Beingthreatened"? Just wondered

I doubt this will go to court but I still say reply to the letters anyway.

Default End of my Involvement

Hickster:
Will you let me back in the chatroom, or am I banned "ad infinitum" ?

Quote:
Webspacker:
This is the last time I'll ask: please leave me alone. I don't want any contact with you, and you should respect that decision.

And no, I still don't want you in the chatroom. Because I don't want ANY contact with you.

Do not reply.

Hickster:
Not a Problem Webspacker, just stop Privating me OK!

I asked you in PUBLIC as YOU responded to one of my posts. It is a shame that I have to lose contact with many of the people I knew because of one person. But so be it. Just STOP trying to pretend to be something you are not.

I have tried to help but no more.

Just to let you all know due to the inflexibility of certain people and my Banning from the Beingthreatened website and chatroom (Still unspecified reasons), I will no longer take part in this cause. It has been made quite clear through abusive and threatening Private messages, that cant be posted here as they will be deleted that my presence on here and as part of this cause is no longer welcome or required

I have been cast out. My own experience that I was ASKED to write for the website has been childishley removed, so I have taken the unfortunate view that it would be best to remove my Blog and also the Videos that had been posted. Before my Ban from the website I noticed that the link was still there, this will now be a dead link. I apologise to all those who have helped and supported me, but the actions of certain people has made this intolerable. I feel worse now than on May 7th when I received the first letter!

It comes to something when a member of ACS LAW is given a warmer welcome than myself.

See you all around

Sorry sapien as much as we would all love this to be the case, the customer service people and even people in the legal department of an ISP are not even aware of what is going on in their own departments, so the responses do not surpise me, I noticed you have asked a few questions regarding what you should do next, since it seems URL links can not be posted here, I would suggest you google beingthreathened.com and head over to that site, everything you need to know is there, I apologise if you have already found it, there is also a chatroom where you can get realtime advice.

No I havent used the templates. A friend of mine (a lawyer) wrote the first letter and the ones after that have just been slightly modified versions.

I can see this letter tennis going on for a long time, lol
