Well, I did purchase the report which interestingly enough did contain the personal data, but no past or current directorships. The information broker concerned is following up. I'm not discounting the possibility that this is a totally different person, but I do love a puzzle.

Radio Interview
Ok, so had Radio 4 interview today - to air Wednesday 3rd June Midday.
As well as 1-2mins of me (the innocent), there seems like there will be someone who was guilty, an IT expert of sorts, then live with ACS.
Overall they were very friendly and seem to be delivering a balanced view of the situation - guess we'll see on Wednesday.

Nicola Beale - Where are you?
Nicola Beale - Where are you?
Confirmation from ACS today that Nicola Beale is no longer a partner of the firm, and that Andrew Crossley is the sole solicitor.
Although I don't know if or how this could change anything, it begs the question
"Why did Nicola leave?"
As for the offices:
18 Hanover Square - operated by a very nice company called Avanta - ACS doesn't seem to be using this anymore as they are now using 83 Victoria St.
83 Victoria St - again a very nice place operated by the friendly and professional Avanta.
Although mail may arrive there, they have no set office there. ACS may use areas from time to time for interviews / meetings etc.
So, not sure where they're really based.

Is it just me or does this keep looking more and more like either a scam or the misplaced attentions of a solicitor who really doesn't have a clue what they are doing?

Not at all, we're all in the same boat because the "evidence" is the same and methodology too. Can't wait for them to take someone to court.... "pick me, pick me..."

Thank you for standing up and being counted. I'm interested to know what the IT Expert says, but remember that the world is full of them, an most of them have a low opinion of the others. Whatever they say, don't panic. If Logistep were watertight, they'd be working for the UK IP Minister or the ISPs, instead of sporting a fuselage full of bulletholes from previous court encounters.
As for the changing of identities - to stay with the military metaphor - maybe the troops on the front line are beginning to worry about how well their parachutes have been packed.

Love the comment "cannot be faked or framed." I wasn't under the impression that we had been accusing Logistep of faking IP addresses or of framing people but since ACS Law choose to put it that way, then is it a case of letting the cat out of the bag?
I understood our general defense to be that an IP address alone is proof of nothing.
They may well have inadvertently succeeded in harvesting some of the people they were after but due to the fact that they won't show anyone how it is harvested it can only be presumed that they have gathered evidence inaccurately.
Also important is the fact that they can only spy on us in secret if they have gone through the proper legal process of obtaining a court order/warrant authorising such action against each individual IP address or person.
Since an IP address proves nothing can I therefore presume that they have illegally gathered more information without going through the above process?
Can they, for instance, tell me which computer I should remove the hard drive from to send for analysis?
If yes, then where's the warrant to spy on me, if not, where's the evidence, if any?
p.s. does all that make sense?
