Default concerning VPN privacy

i've recently come into some trouble with my ISP. nothing too serious, they just disabled my account for a day because i was file sharing. i just signed up on itshidden vpn and i have a huge question that i haven't found the answer to...

what if my ISP is monitoring my activity, will itshidden, or any vpn generally, protect me from that sort of intrusion?

its rarely your isp that is watching you, they merely act on reports from third parties who work for the industry. the vpn will protect you from the industry spies because they won't know who is doing the downloading. it would also protect you from your isp but as i say they don't care. but it won't prevent your isp seeing how much you are doing, so if they're onto you about using too much bandwidth then the vpn won't help with that problem. actually, there is nothing that can hide that
