How do I setup a "torrent" to share files with a friend???

I'm relatively new to bittorrent, although I have been using it with client uTORRENT on sites like dimeadozen and tradersden for a few months now, and have successfully been downloading/seeding and also uploading my own stuff via those "trackers". I apologize if this question is very stupid. I have googled around a bit but I can't find what I think is a good answer.

What I'd like to do is to share a couple files just with a friend - nothing related to dimeadozen or tradersden - and I am very confused about some things. Like namely, HOW do I do this????

I don't want to create a .torrent file to host on something like "piratebay" as mentioned in this link up here How to create a torrent? | TorrentFreak because as I understand it (perhaps wrongly) that if I do that other people will be able to see it (????). I ONLY want the one person (or people) that I specifically TELL what the torrent is to be able to get it, and when they do get it, I want to delete any reference to it.

Is there a way for me to create a torrent then somehow tell my friend to go to "xyz" and have him then connect to my PC and get what I put in the torrent? Are there "tracker" websites that let you put your own "personal" torrent on them that you can then tell your friends to go to - or ways to have them come direct to your own hard drive???
