Default ZERO Traffic, what's wrong?

I've been a lurker for a few months now and just ran into a situation I can't find a solution for so I figured it was time to create an account and post my first thread.

I use uTorrent, I have the latest install with the encryption settings set to forced (tried Enabled first though) and I have it set to pick a random port each time uTorrent starts, all on a Windows XP system with Comcast as my ISP.

Recently, like in the last 2-3 weeks I've not been able to DL anything over bitTorrent. I use either Demonoid or ISOhunt to find the torrents. When I begin the Download I see a few peers and a few seeds right away. The torrent I am DL'ing has thousands of each, it's a popular download. But after a few seconds the Seeds change to 0 and the Peers change to 0. I get nothing at all. Is there anyone that has experienced this? Is it a uTorrent issue or is this something Comcast may be doing?

What can I do to get this fixed? The only other thought that I have had was to uninstall uTorrent and get it reinstalled thinking that the program itself may be the problem.

Thanks for any ideas you all have, it's much appreciated!

What version of uTorrent are you using? Try updating to the latest (v1.8 Build 11813) if you haven't already. If you think reinstallning might solve it, try it!

I have had this same issue ever since Utorrent was taken over by Bitorrent. This is my personal experiences: version 1.7.7 worked great. Since downloading 1.8 nothing has worked. I went on the forums at utorrent and it seemed there were several others with issues. They refuse to let anyone go back to the 1.7.7 download. I asked why, I am now barred from their forum. I was told I was "highjacking threads" I do not even know what that means. I contacted my ISP ATT.net I was told the latest release they feel has malware or spyware that causes the problems. My experience is this: If I install Utorrent the DL will start, then stop, just like you experience. Then I will not have an internet connection at all. After I uninstall the Utorrent software and reboot I have a connection again. I then reinstalled the software, started DL, same thing no connection. Uninstalled, back up. I did this 5 different times. I did read where Comcast is limiting download size. They lost a suit to the government and are now appealing it. I hope this has helped as of right now I have no Torrent software. Any suggestions other than BitTorrent or Utorrent?
