torrent clients

Gidday ( that's aussie for hello, I hope your having a good-day). I'm so excited, my second post on this site, I'm getting the heebee-geebee's. Back to reality, I perused in detail the article comparing/rating torrent clients and absorbed the differing opinions that appeared in the resultant thread which was started way back in 2006. I was previously usin Azureus without problem but when I suffered a hdd failure and had to do a rebuild some months ago I began to experience the "Vuze disappears problem" (suddenly closes). I haven't found a solution yet. I researched the net and noted that some ppl consider that ZoneAlarm clashes with Vuze. I'm not ready to stop using ZA yet as it gives me total control over input and output and I know the gui and settings back-to-front, inside-out. Anyhow, I tried micro-torrent (utorrent) based on it's critical acclaim and the beta version is now crashing, so I'm about to try another client, haven't decided which, yet. I'm open to suggestions but b4 you reply, read-on.
Poverty has necessitated that I use a free dial-up connection (my bro's, yes, I had adsl for many yrs b4 poverty knocked down my door, so I have grounds for a comparison) but here's the crunch :-
Remember, I'm using dial-up ! When I had Vuze running stable, I was able download up to 20 torrents at a time and seed more than 300. OK, I DO realize that not all torrents were active but I was able to get traffic on any 12 of the downloading torrents at any one time and I only noticed a drop in total upload/download "speed" once I approached 20 + simultaneous downloading and over 250 queued to seed. Utorrent bogs when I try to download more that 3 and seed more than 10. There is an obvious difference in the sophistication of the coding that has been put into Vuze as compared to Utorrent. So, now I await your suggestions/comments b4 I try another client. Thnx for reading to the end.
