Default No Pc Required?

Hi,

I've been running the PC continuously overnight for awhile now and find this upsets the general performance of the pc.

I'm aware of such devices on the market that connect to the Router and can run torrents without the need of a pc, however I can't find the devices anywhere.

Anyone aware of this hardware and or recommend one?

From your description it sounds that you're looking for something like the Popcorn Hour. I don't have one myself, but it has recieved great reviews. I think there are better alternatives out there, but Popcorn Hour was made to be quite cheap.

An old PC can be converted into a 'router firewall'.
All this does is make the internet connection more secure, & you can run you P2P connections from it. It takes the strain off your main PC.
As long as the 'router firewall' PC has security installed on it, your main PC will not require security. You can switch off your main PC at night & leave the 'router firewall' dealing with the torrents. Your main PC will still be able to use the net like usual.
