How Safe is Torrent Sharing in Vuze?

The new Vuze client has the option to share torrents with friends, the question is... what impact does this have on your privacy...

Also, could this get the client banned from private trackers?

I haven't tried it myself but I'm gonna assume it doesn't allow you to share torrents with the Private Flag on.

If it does then I bet it'll be banned on most private trackers pretty quickly because this is usually the reaction when Private Flag is ignored for options to share torrents or peers.

The share feature only gives your friends access to your bandwidth, not the bandwidth of the other peers on a tracker. This would be no different than downloading a torrent from the private tracker and running two instances of the torrent, one as part of the private swarm and the other a part of a public swarm with the two having nothing to do with each other, other sharing your upload bandwidth.
