If your server is stocked with Fantastico "cpanel"
Fantastico (web hosting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
then you can install PHPbb And SMF with a couple clicks.
Those are the top two free boards out there. I actually prefer SMF do to the easy mod installs.
Its seems to be more secure in the security area as well
